Bocar Group was established in 1958 in Mexico City, originally as a manufacturer of pumps and carburetors. Today we have two business units, primarily serving the international automotive industry.

As a group, we are able to offer the automotive industry a sophisticated range of products and services. We are both a development partner and full service supplier capable of producing aluminum or plastic series products with specific requirements. This places us amongst a few companies capable of supplying hybrid solutions of different materials.



VISION

The Bocar Group is a North American company with international support structures and ultimate manufacturing technology. Primary focus is to supply advanced aluminum and plastic components (powertrain, structural & transmission for aluminum and interior & large components for plastic). New Mobility concepts components are part of our product portfolio. Bocar focuses on on-highway customers (OEM & Tier-1) in the core North American market (Europe/Asia being a mid-term growth option). Product Engineering expertise is a key skill-set and integral part of Bocar’s value proposition based on material, manufacturing technology and product design optimization expertise. Competitive differentiation is realized through superior manufacturing & assembly processes, quality and tool & die design competences.

ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY AT WORK

In Bocar Group we are engaged in the design and manufacture of aluminum and plastic parts. Our commitment is to protect the environment and to provide safe and healthy working conditions by:

WATER RESPONSIBILITY

Water represents one of the main resources for our productive processes, in Bocar Group we are committed to its conservation and responsable use that safeguards its availability for future generations.

We are actively working on a Water Strategy Vision towards 2022 in which we aim to:

  • • Reduce by 20% our fresh water consuption vs baseline 2015.
  • • Zero Liquid Discharge.

Further more, we earnestly collaborate with water-related initiatives led by worldwide recognized organizations such as CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project).



ENERGY EFFICIENCY

In Bocar Group we have a specialized department for the management of energy efficiency within our facilities. Some initiatives that we are currently undertaking to reduce our energy consumption and to mitigate the impact of our greenhouse gas emissions are the:

  • • Change of luminaires to LED technology.
  • • Use of variable speed compressors.
  • • Audits to report and eliminate compressed air leaks
  • • Use of solar panels to power parking illumination.
  • • Real-time energy quality and consumption monitoring system.
  • • Installation of efficient cooling equipment and speed variators in engines.
  • • Power factor controlled by using banks of automatic capacitors.


INDUSTRIAL SAFETY

We are convinced that people represent the most valuable resource for our business in Bocar Group. We focus our efforts, resources and state-of-the-art technology to make our production processes every day safer and more robust.

Industrial safety is lived in each of our facilities and our accident rate is below the automotive industry average.

Our efforts in prevention and training are reflected in the continuous decrease of our accident rate in recent years.
